Adult + Child Opportunities

Through engaging games and activities we have fun, laugh, and deepen our connections. Kids (even big ones) communicate through play, and adults can too. We offer classes and workshops for preschoolers + adult and elementary students + adult.

Playful Parenting through Conflict

In this FREE 90-minute play-based workshop parents learn to address conflict with their children in ways that both supports their child and helps set boundaries. The adults play games and are given tools for authentic and playful communication with their child; meanwhile, the kids are doing the same! Then we join forces and play some more and laugh together. You'll walk away with a warm connection, some new tools for communicating with your child during tense moments, and a novel experience.

For K-2 and their adults. FREE.

3:30 - 5:00 p.m. at the Walker Public Library.

Parent-Tot Creative Play

Parents and caretakers, this class is for you and your preschooler!

Are you sometimes exhausted by your preschooler's (seemingly unnecessary) tantrums? Frustrated by his lack of urgency when leaving the house? Or bored by her play, when she demands you repeat the story one more time?

Great news: We all are. We can come together to commiserate. And, we've got some ideas for you to try. This class is all about playfulness and imagination as a vehicle for addressing conflict, boredom and other parenting sticking points. Through fun improv, storytelling, mindfulness and collaborative activities you'll leave with fresh parenting ideas, information about development, connection with your child and a community of support.
